CHAIR GAIL PHILLIPS called the Joint Committee on Legislative
Budget and Audit meeting to order at 12:10 p.m. Members present
at the call to order were Representatives Phillips, Bunde, Croft,
Davis and Therriault, and Senators Phillips, Parnell, Wilken and
Pearce.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
CHAIR PHILLIPS announced that the approval of the minutes from
the meeting held on January 14, 2000, would be postponed until
the next meeting.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Number 0095
SENATOR PHILLIPS made a motion to move to executive session for
the purpose of discussing the preliminary audits. There being no
objection, the committee went into executive session at 12:15
p.m.
CHAIR PHILLIPS asked the following people to attend the executive
session: Pat Davidson, legislative auditor, and staff; Jim
Griffin; Ginger Blaisdell from the Legislative Finance Division;
and Pat Hartley, Legislative Budget and Audit Committee aide.

RELEASE OF FINAL AUDIT TO THE PUBLIC
SENATOR PHILLIPS made a motion to release the final audit from
the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs to the public.
There being no objection, the audit was released to the public.
OTHER COMMITTEE BUSINESS
CHAIR PHILLIPS announced that the Joint Committee on Legislative
Budget and Audit meeting would continue on Friday, January 28,
2000, at 8:00 a.m.
CHAIR PHILLIPS recessed the Joint Committee on Legislative Budget
and Audit meeting at 12:50 p.m.
